About

Susanne Brendel is a set designer, costume designer and video artist in contemporary theater and music theater.
Her work focuses on stageing existing spaces, objects and resources, as well as on creating immersive audience situations.
She is a founding member of Ensemble SPORT, a group that develops, produces, and performs immersive music theater events.

She studied Set and Costume Design as well as Photography and Media Arts at State Academy of Arts Stuttgart, Germany, and Vilniaus Academy of Arts, Lithuania.
She received sholarships by Akademie Musiktheater heute, by the Ministery for Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg and, together with Julia Schäfer and Jasmin Schädler, by Künstlerhaus Stuttgart.
