About

Susanne Brendel, born 1992, is a set designer, costume designer and video artist in contemporary music theatre and experimental formats. Her work focuses on stageing given spaces and resources, as well as the role of the viewers. They are invited to roam around, and let their eyes wander. There is no centre, there are only good seats.

She studied Set and Costume Design with exchange semesters in Photography and Media Arts
at State Academy of Arts Stuttgart, Germany, and Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania.
She received sholarships by Akademie Musiktheater heute, by the Ministery for Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg
and, together with her collective n.n.n. collective, by Künstlerhaus Stuttgart.

Close collaborations include artists Jasmin Schädler and Julia Schäfer (as n.n.n. collective),
director Christina Friedrich, as well as director/author Rafael Ossami Saidy and actor/musician Simon Kluth (as SPORT).
